Donna Lou Brogdon, 87, of West Memphis, Arkansas passed away peacefully on November 1, 2025. Born in Steele, Missouri to Otho and Virginia Stanfield, Donna lived a life filled with love, faith and kindness. A 1956 graduate of Blytheville High School, Donna devoted 32 years to teaching at Maddox Elementary, where she touched countless lives with her gentle heart and passion for education.
She shared 65 beautiful years of marriage with her husband, James Brogdon and together they built a loving family. She is survived by her loving husband, James Brogdon; her children, Cathey (John) Wylie, Chris (Melissa) Brogdon; grandchildren, Ashley (Coby) Henslee, Weston (Kathryn) Wylie, Zachary (Shelby) Brogdon, Madison (Luke) Ferguson, Meredith Wylie and Catherine Wylie and great-grandchildren, Kenzlee Burch, Lake Laughter, Lexie Claire Laughter, Charlie Brogdon, Grayson Ferguson, Bristol Brogdon and Cooper Ferguson. Donna is also survived by her brother, Lynn Stanfield and preceded in death by her siblings, Sue Peterson and George Stanfield.
Donna's life was rich with simple joys, tending to her flowers, watching birds from her porch and taking road trips with James, friends and family. She found great delight in her grandchildren's activities, cheering on a good baseball game and taking drives with James to look for deer.
Above all, Donna's unwavering faith was the foundation of her life. She was a dedicated member of the Church where she shared her love, compassion and servant's heart with all who knew her.
Those who were blessed to know Donna will remember her as someone who never met a stranger, whose warmth, loyalty and faith-filled spirit brightened every room she entered.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, November 7, 2025 at 1:00 PM at Missouri Street Church of Christ, 1600 N. Missouri Street, West Memphis, Arkansas.
