Hollis Wayne Edwards, 71, of Clinton, Arkansas, passed away on October 24, 2025. He was born September 21, 1954, in North Little Rock, to the late Harvey Edwards and Elizabeth Edwards of Cabot.
Hollis grew up in Scott, Arkansas, and attended Scott High School where he earned several awards for his athletic achievements. He began his career as a boiler operator for the State of Arkansas before moving to Byhalia, Mississippi to pursue a new opportunity. He later retired from Methodist Le Bonheur Healthcare in Memphis, Tennessee as a Lead Maintenance Mechanic in the laundry division â€" a role he took great pride in.
After retirement, Hollis fulfilled a dream and bought a farm in Clinton. Raising goats, fishing, and spending time outdoors brought him some of his greatest joy. He especially loved hunting and fishing trips along the White River, chasing trout and making memories with family.
Hollis will be remembered for his hardworking nature, his frugality paired with a determination to enjoy life fully, and a distinct voice that could be recognized anywhere in the room â€" a sound his family will deeply miss.
He is survived by his mother, Elizabeth Edwards of Cabot; 2 sisters, Vivian Tabor (Earl) and Bonnie Sturch (Don) of Lonoke, and one brother Calvin Edwards of Clinton, his children, Carl Dewayne Edwards of Cabot and Crystal Lynn Masoner of Mabelvale; four grandchildren, Olivia Keeth, Bryan Beitzel Jr., Michael Beitzel, and Lillilee Beitzel; and five great-grandchildren: Evelyn, Bella Rose, Harper, Laney, and Dominic.
He was preceded in death by his father, Harvey Edwards; his sister, Melissa Ballew; and his grandson, Alexander Carl Edwards.
Hollis lived simply, loved deeply, and leaves behind a legacy of grit, laughter, and family stories that will be shared for years to come.

Hollis was a man who enjoyed a good laugh and a great game of pool; we shared a birthdate and created some fond memories with him and Pam. We didn't know him for long but he will be greatly missed! RIP our friendðŸ'›
