She was born September 15, 1938, on Island 40 to Homer and Elsie Sides. She was a 1957 graduate of Crawfordsville High School. She retired after 35 years from Kay Furniture. After her retirement, she volunteered at Crittenden Memorial Hospital as a member of the ''Pink Lady's Auxiliary''.

Her greatest joy in life was being ''Grams'' and ''Gee'' to Amber Rice (Jerry), Bradley Gustavus, Brandon Stallings (Lindsey), Mallory McInvale (Logan), Emily Gentry (Myles), Jacob Cooper, Allyson (Justin), Kaitlynn, Wilson, MaryEllis, and James.
Shirley had a gift for bringing people together. Whether it was a Wednesday dinner, or a "Saturday with Shirley" day out, she made every moment feel special. She had an incredible talent for selling furniture at Kay's. She had an eye for design, and her charm and honesty made her not just a great salesperson, but someone people trusted and loved working with.
Family and friends are invited to attend a visitation on Saturday, November 1, 2025, from 10 to 11 AM with a memorial service at 11:00 am. at Roller Citizens Funeral Home in West Memphis, AR.
