Don Helm, 97, passed away Saturday, October 25, 2025 in Batesville.
He was born February 6, 1928 in Sage, Arkansas to James Ezra and Bessie (Cockrell) Helm.
Don and Inez Foreman married on February 20, 1948 and were married for 74 years. They lived in Paragould and Jonesboro before moving to Batesville in 1959, where they raised their three sons.
Don worked as a salesman for Armour Meat Company in his early career, then became an agent for Metropolitan Life Insurance Company where he worked until his retirement. Don was a member of the Jaycees and the Batesville Lions Club for many years. In his sons youth years, he was active in the summer baseball programs, spending many hours at Fitzhugh Park Ballfields. He spent his retirement years growing hay, raising cattle, and operating a feed store with his brothers in Melbourne, Arkansas.
He is preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Inez (Foreman) Helm; three brothers, J.W. "Red" Helm, Gene "Peanut" Helm, and David Helm, and one granddaughter-in-law, Keisha Helm.
Don is survived by his sons, Bruce Helm (Karen) of Little Rock, Sammy Helm (Linda) of Fayetteville, and Kenny Helm (Carol) of Batesville; grandchildren, Blake Helm (Susan) of Little Rock, Amber Losee (Sloan) of Wylie, Texas, and Jennifer Foltz (Brad) of Winter Garden, Florida, and great-grandsons, Luke Foltz and Adam Foltz.
Pallbearers will be Blake Helm, Phillip Helm, Billy Warnock, Keith Warnock, Darrell Birmingham, and Kurt Johnson.

A visitation will be held Saturday, November 1, 2025 from 9:30 am until 11:00 am at the Roller-Crouch Funeral Home of Batesville.
Graveside services at the Violet Hill Cemetery will be officiated by Rev. Stacy Reed and Bro. Eddie Cox of First Baptist Church and will begin Saturday, November 1, 2025 at 2:00 pm.
