of Morrilton, AR
October 1, 1939 - October 17, 2025
Mary Lou White Morton, of Morrilton, Arkansas, left this world and entered the gates of Heaven on October 17, 2025. She was born on October 1, 1939, in Rye, Arkansas, to her parents, Reverend J.E. and Sallie L. White.
Mary was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Wesley Leon Morton; her parents; her daughter, Janica L. Carrow; and her siblings, Katherine Garner, Martha Murray, Sue Golsby, James White, Gene White and Joyce Hall, along with many other loved ones who have gone before her.
Mary is survived by her sister, Pat Landers; her children, Donna McClintock (Brent) and Mark Stokes; her grandchildren, Joseph McClintock, Brady McClintock, Cora Bonnoitt (Tim), Bradley Stokes, Branden Stokes, Raymond Dye (Kristin), Stephanie Ramsey (Jeremy), and Heather Chasteen (Steven); her great-grandchildren, Maverick, Hunter, Lydia, Luke, Noah, Sydney, and Carson; and her great-great-grandchildren, Ellery and Emery. She also leaves behind numerous other family members and friends who loved her dearly.
Mary worked for nearly 20 years at Remington and was known for her strong work ethic, her kind spirit, and her love for others. Her faith in Jesus Christ guided every step of her life, and she was a faithful member of Bethel Missionary Baptist Church. Mary loved her family dearlyâ€"especially Leon, her devoted husband of 40 years. Together, they built a life filled with love, laughter, and faith.
Mary's greatest desire was for everyone to know the peace and joy she found in her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. She lived her life as a testimony of God's grace and unconditional love. As we celebrate her homegoing, the family invites all who read this to consider the same hope she held so dearlyâ€"to know Jesus personally and accept Him as Savior and Lord.
''For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.'' â€" John 3:16
Mary has fought the good fight, finished her course, and kept the faith. She now rests safely in the arms of Jesus for all eternity.
A funeral service to celebrate Mary's life will be held on Friday, October 31, 2025, at 12:00pm, with a visitation starting at 11:00am at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home in Conway. Burial will follow at Pinecrest Memorial Park.
