of Sherwood, AR
October 1, 1935 - October 24, 2025
Betty L. Roetzel, 90, of Sherwood, joined her Savior in heaven on October 24, 2025.
Betty was born in Reseda, California on October 1, 1935, to Jacob ''JB'' and Fannie Roberts. She met her husband, Wayne, in November 1950 when she was 15 years old. They married July 10, 1954, and shared an everlasting love for the next 65 years until Wayne's death June 30, 2019.
Betty and Wayne were undefeated champions at least six times aboard numerous Royal Caribbean cruise ships in the Love and Marriage Game. Together they built a loving family and a successful business. Betty was a bookkeeper; however, she was a marvelous cook, hostess, and caregiver to the elderly, grandchildren, neighborhood kids (Steven and Gregory James), or whoever needed her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and sister Mildred Roberts. Betty is survived by her children, Kendall Roetzel (Cheryl) of Springdale and Donna Humphries (Barry) of Sherwood. She was blessed with five grandchildren including Jason Humphries (Jessica) of Murrayville, GA., Jared Humphries (Kristin) of NLR, Stephanie Roetzel of Atlanta, Dr. Holly Agud (Justin) of NLR, and Derek Roetzel (Katie) of Springdale, along with 12 great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren. Betty also leaves a cousin, who Betty considered her baby sister, Jo Anne Farless, of Cape Girardeau, Missouri.
Visitation will be on Saturday, November 1, 2025, at Roller-Owens Funeral Home in North Little Rock on JFK at 1:00 p.m., with a celebration of life to follow at 2:00 p.m. Burial will follow at Shady Grove Cemetery in Bald Knob.
In lieu of flowers, celebrate Betty's life of giving by visiting the elderly, providing a meal, or making a donation to your local meals on wheels program.

Dearest Donna, Barry and Ken, my prayers are going up for you during this time. I know you were blessed with many wonderful years with her here, but you know you will have eternity with her someday!! Dear Donna, Ken, and families:
Miss Betty was a light in this world. I'm thankful for the years she welcomed me into your home as a teen/young adult. I know she will be missed, but please find comfort that she is with our Savior and her beloved Wayne. Hearts love, Angie Gill Roman &.Phil Roman
