Mr. James Conklin, 87, of Lakeview, Arkansas, passed away on Thursday, October 23, 2025, in Mountain Home. He was born on November 30, 1937, in Alpha, Iowa, to Kenneth and Katherine (Goodnow) Conklin. He was married to Ivadell Minton for 51 years. He was an Army veteran and small business owner who enjoyed woodworking, traveling, making sweets for the holidays, and loved his dogs. He was also a very meticulous mathematician.
James is survived by two children: Jason Conklin and Lori Bergum (Glenn) and three grandchildren: Candi, Danielle, and Amanda. He was preceded in death by his wife, parents, and sister, Ardath.
A funeral service will be held at 1:00pm on Monday, October 27, 2025, at Roller Funeral Home with entombment to follow at Baxter Memorial Gardens. The family would like to give a special thank you to the nurses and staff at Hospice of the Ozarks for all their love and care for their father.
