Buddy Warner

of Little Rock, AR

January 13, 1945 - October 21, 2025

George "Buddy" Willard Warner, 80 of Little Rock, Arkansas passed away October 21st, 2025.

Buddy was born in North Little Rock, Arkansas on January 13th, 1945 to the late Guy and Chloe Vinson Warner. He was a member of St James United Methodist Church.
He graduated from North Little Rock High School in North Little Rock, Arkansas, after which he honorably served six years in the Army National Guard.

Buddy's first job was driving a snow cone truck for Mr. Waverly Price, who was a great mentor and influence for him. He started his working tenure making just one cent for every snow cone he sold, which he saved to buy his first car-thus began his great affection of cars. Buddy and Connie made a lot of good friends over the years going to and participating in car shows. They especially loved participating in Cruise the Coast in Biloxi/Gulfport every fall.

He married the love of his life, Connie in June 1966, for which he never passed an opportunity to share precious photographs of her. Buddy was a hard worker and created a great life and lasting legacy for his family. He and Connie had a wonderful life together raising a family, traveling, and going to car shows. Of Buddy's many hobbies, he was an admirer of music, especially oldies, and all things Elvis.

He retired from Continental Baking Company as a route salesman after 30 years with a perfect record in safe driving. Retirement didn't last long and he went to work at Landers Auto Group for 28 years doing parts delivery.

He took pride in his family and loved them immensely. He loved playing card games, hitting the casinos, and always took life one good cigar at a time. He was very competitive, sharp, focused, and always up to a good challenge. He was famous for his Christmas games with the grandkids-for which his grandkids were the apple of his eye.

Buddy is proceeded in death by his parents. He is survived by his loving wife Connie Gardner Warner of 59 years, daughter, Michelle Warner Goad (Ken), son, Marty Warner (Stephanie), grandchildren Conor Goad, Jake Warner, Gracie Warner (fiancé Grant Aboytes), Wesley Goad, Mason Goad, and four great grandchildren. Sisters, Catherine Lyle, Nancy Myers, and Becky Stine.

He never met a stranger and had a wealth of friends. He is deeply loved by his family and will be missed greatly. Of the many roles Buddy assumed, his most dearly held ones were being a husband to Connie; father to Michelle and Marty; and a grandfather.

In lieu of flowers please donate in Buddy's name to your favorite charity.

We are so sad to hear that Buddy passed away. We were not only cousins but also neighbors in the 70s in Little Rock. We have many fond memories of our times together. I can't even count the times we would see the Wonder Bread truck in southwest LR and wondered if it was Buddy and it would be. Our condolences to Connie and family. We will send love and prayers from TX.
