Danny Ray Hood, 76, of Jonesboro, AR, passed away peacefully on Monday, October 20, 2025. He was born July 28, 1949, in Joiner, AR, to Jake and Maebell (Wilson) Hood. Danny was a man of faith and believed in God wholeheartedly. He loved his family deeply and treasured every moment spent together. Coming home to go fishing or bowling brought him so much joy. Those simple moments meant the world to him.
Danny was preceded in death by his parents, whom he loved dearly.
Survivors include his brothers, Jerry (Carollan) Hood, Wayne Hood and Phillip Hood; one sister, Bonnie Louise (David) Jones and many nieces, nephews and extended family members who will always remember his kind heart and steady presence.
A celebration of life will be 11 am Thursday, October 23, 2025, at Roller-Farmers Union Funeral Home, 1900 West Washington Avenue in Jonesboro, with Mike Colvin officiating. Burial will follow at Tyronza Cemetery.
Visitation will precede the service and begin at 10 am.
Clyde Hood, Paul Hood, Chris Hood, Timmy Hood, Justin Hood and Danny Cartwright will serve as pallbearers. Jerry Hood, Wayne Hood and Phillip Hood will serve as honorary pallbearers.
Danny will be remembered for his love of family, his easygoing spirit, and the simply joys that made his life so full.

Danny was a resident here in El Dorado at our group home. He bought us so much joy, laughter & love. He was a man of God and truly believed in helping his brothers in the home. We will miss him dearly but know he's resting in love.
