Janie Allene Mingues, 67, of Calico Rock, Arkansas passed away at White River Health Care on Tuesday, October 13, 2025. Janie was born on September 3, 1958 in Mountain View, Arkansas to James Henry and Ivan Cordelia (Scholes) Oden. Janie worked for many years in retail and enjoyed reading and was especially fond of Stephen King novels, listening to music and fishing. Janie will be greatly missed by all of her loving family and friends.
Left behind to cherish her memory are her children, Steven Nichols, Christopher Nichols, Tammy Everett and Angela Frazier; grandchildren, Taylor Smith, Gracie Frazier, Brendan Frazier, Summer Edgin, Abbey Edgin, Ashton Edgin, Casey Edgin, Michelle Nichols Headley, Isaac Nichols, Joseph Nichols, Rachel Nichols, Skyla Nichols and Kayla Nichols; one brother, James Oden; three sisters, Velma Bailey-Ford, Marie Oden and Thelma Smith; along with many extended family and friends.
Janie is preceded in death by her parents, James Henry and Ivan Cordelia (Scholes) Oden and grandson, Caleb Nichols.
The family will not have any services at this time.
Roller Crouch Funeral Home in Mountain View, Arkansas is in charge of the arrangements.
