Barbara Wheeless, 71, of Grand Prairie, Texas passed away Wednesday, October 8, 2025.
She was born December 31, 1953 in Wynne Arkansas to Isaac and Gladys (Null) Cannon.
Barbara was a sole proprietor of Barbara's Hair Design in Arlington, Texas. She enjoyed dancing, music, and fashion. She loved many things, nothing more than her family.
She is survived by her husband, David Wheeless; two sons, Christopher (April) Lewis and Shane (Stacey) Lewis; five grandkids, Alley Smith, Fallon Lewis, Taylor Malone, Shelby Lewis, and Christian Lewis; six great-grandkids, Creedence Smith, Hendrix Smith, Madigan Halpaine, Ripley Lewis, Judson Henderson, and Jovi Malone; one brother, Paul Cannon, and one sister, Evelyn Sneed.
She is preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Joe Cannon, and Terry Cannon, and two sisters, Esther Woodard, and Ruby Faye Brown.
Pallbearers are Chris Lewis, Shane Lewis, David Wheeless, Christian Lewis, Zach Malone, and Shandy Cannon.
Graveside services will be held Thursday, October 16, 2025 at 2:00pm at Macedonia Cemetery with Tim Gibson officiating.
Visitation will be held from 12:30pm until 1:30pm Thursday, October 16, 2025 at the Roller-Crouch Funeral Home in Batesville.

I loved Barbara and I availed my self of her services for 26 yrs,, she attended my youngest daughter professionally as well.
Our hearts are saddened fr David and her entire family…we askGod in his infinite mercy to strengthen and be with each of them. She was a lovely person and I am so grateful our paths crossed, in this journey we called life. Peggy and Casandra Hughes.

I am so sad to hear the news of Barbara's passing, but I know she's in a better place. She has been such a big part of my life my hairdresser forever which as you know is being the same as my caregiver secret keeper therapist as well as hairdresser, she will always be special to me and in my prayers
