of Cabot, AR
October 3, 1966 - October 1, 2025
Iva Charlotte Painter, 58, of Cabot, Arkansas went to be with the Lord on October 1, 2025 in Searcy, Arkansas, just two days shy of her 59th birthday.
Charlotte was born on October 3, 1966 in Yellville, Arkansas to Eldawan ''Sug'' Wagoner and Beverly Sue Smith. As a proud graduate of Flippin High School's Class of 1985, she was a talented and devoted basketball player. Out of school, she was found at the rodeos. She especially loved barrel racing and team roping.
From an early age, Charlotte lived with a fierce and enthusiastic spirit, a woman who was always on the go, always up for a challenge and always ready with a quick-witted remark. Whether she was watching football as a beloved Pittsburg Steelers fan (or splitting her loyalty between the Razorbacks and the Longhorns for the sake of her two sons), dancing the two-step in Texas honky-tonks or relaxing with her toes in the sand on a sunny beach, Charlotte truly embraced life.
She was a devoted mother who worked tirelessly to raise her two boys on her own, Stetson and Weston and they remained the center of her world. But perhaps her most cherished title was ''Gram Gram''. Her granddaughter, Audra brought her unmatched joy and their special memories, like their special place at Chuck E. Cheese, were treasures to Charlotte's heart.
Charlotte loved to travel, exploring several countries across Europe and Asia and never passed up a chance to try something new. She was a true foodie, always eager to gather around the table with family. She had a soft heart for animals, quietly giving to local shelters and never missed a chance to love on her loyal dog, Gunner.
She was dedicated to her work and carried herself with pride. But no matter where she was going, Charlotte never left home without her signature hair, ''The Do'', perfectly styled. She held on to that 80's hair and it held firm to her. Her style was as bold and memorable as her laugh.
She was a lifelong Elvis Presley fan. She also had a soft spot for George Strait, Fleetwood Mac, Journey and classic country. Autumn was her favorite season and she dreamed one day of living in New York City among the fall leaves and bright lights.
Charlotte is survived by her sons, Stetson (Kaleigh) Painter of Mountain Home and Weston (Alexis) Herst of Rose Bud; her beloved granddaughter, Audra Painter; her brother, Cameron (Tisha) Wagoner and sister, Trenia Smith, both of Texas; lots of cousins; several nieces and nephews and her faithful companion, her dog Gunner.
She is preceded in death by her father, Eldawan ''Sug'' Wagoner and her bonus-father, David ''Big Guy'' Smith; her paternal grandparents, Ward Owen and Lorene Mildred [[]Freeman] Wagoner; her maternal grandparents, Burl Franklin and Iva Mae [[]Scott] Mitchell.
A visitation will be held from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m. on Monday, October 13, 2025 at Roller-Burns Funeral Home in Yellville, Arkansas with funeral services beginning at 2:00 p.m., officiated by Johnathan Herst.
Charlotte leaves behind a legacy of strength, laughter, love and unforgettable memories. She is deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Rep. Stetson, Kaliegh and Audra. We are your neighbors who live up the street. So sorry to hear of your mother, mother inlaw and grandmother passing. While we were not acquainted with her, by reading her obituary, its easy to see the legacy she left you all in your and your family's kind, neighborly ways. God bless your family and her memories in your hearts every day. The West's
Enjoyed working with Charlotte at Remington. She made it a joy to be with her. She was so proud of her boys and even more proud of her grandbaby.
Praying for your family.
Charlotte ''Cuz'' was an amazing person and I have too many fond memories to mention. She spent every summer with us as a kid and even lived with us for a while in Topeka. Although we have all drifted apart as we have all moved to different parts of the country, I will always miss her infectious smile and vibrant attitude. She reminds me so much of Aunt Bea and Granny Mae! Another kindred soul gone too soon! I know that she is in a much better place now, with no pain and all of our family that are already gone. I love you Cuz! Give Granny a big hug for me. Until we meet again may you Rest In Peace!
I will treasure working security at Remington and seeing Charlotte coming in. We would hug and tell each other I love you. My dearest friend I love you always and forever ðŸ'œ
