Jimmy Dean Millsap

December 30, 1959 - October 1, 2025

Jimmy Dean Millsap was born on December 30, 1959 and departed this life on October 1, 2025 at the Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House. Jimmy was born in Newport, AR and later moved to Jonesboro, AR. He retired from Wal-Mart after 25 years. He graduated from Jonesboro High School.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Lorine (Davis) Millsap; sisters, Pauline Melton, Bernice Fortenberry, Anita Rose Akins and Susan Jobe and his partner of 25 years, Jeff Johnson and brothers, Bobby Lane, Roger Millsap, Michael Millsap and James Millsap.

He is survived by his sister, Audrey Henderson; nieces, Jackie Lindsey, Rebecca Joy, Michelle Andry, Polly Bryant, Marie Toddy and Carol Toddy; nephews, Alan Fortenberry, RH Akins, David Akins and Johnnie Akins and many cousins.

Jimmy loved his family and friends. He was also an animal lover. He enjoyed making new friends. Jimmy was very outgoing. He was raised in a Pentecostal home and church and loved gospel music. He enjoyed reading and watching his favorite television shows. His favorite thing to do was just get out and ride around looking at nature and watching the seasons change.

Graveside services will be 11 am Tuesday, October 7, 2025 at Oaklawn Cemetery.

Visitation will precede the service from 9:30 am to 10:30 am at Roller-Farmers Union Funeral Home, 1900 West Washington Avenue in Jonesboro.
