Bronwyn Nancy King, 69 of Marshall passed away in her home on September 26, 2025. Bronwyn was born in Fairplay, Colorado on May 30,1956. She was the daughter of Nancy Ruth (Harrell) and Doil Yocham.
Bronwyn graduated High School from Ishpeming, MI. She attended the University of Arkansas before transferring to UCA earning a B.A. in Geography. Following her passion for learning, she returned to school to achieve her B.S. in Nursing.
On May 18, 1975, she married Bob King, living in Little Rock for several years before moving back to their childhood roots of Marshall.
Bronwyn worked as the case manager supervisor for Searcy County Area Agency on Aging and then as the long-term care nurse for Searcy County Department of Human Services before retiring.
As a member of the Marshall First Baptist Church, she was active with the kitchen committee and volunteered in other areas.
As an avid reader, Bronwyn served as president of the Library Board for many years. She was active in numerous community activities serving as treasurer of the Chamber of Commerce for Searcy County, a founding board member of the Boston Mountain Rual Health Center in Marshall, an officer on the Buffalo River Community Development Corporation Board of Directors and participated in many other boards and community clubs. She received the Searcy County Chamber of Commerce Lifetime Achievement Award in 2023.
She was preceded in death by her father Doil Yocham.
Survivors include spouse of 50 years, Bob King; two children, son Jonathan (Melanie) King of Harrison and two grandchildren Sydney and Piper King; daughter Sarah (Michael) Flowers of Marshall; her mother Nancy Ruth Yocham of Harrison; brother Gary (Bonnie) Yocham of Arizona; and other relatives and friends.
All services will be private.
