James ''Troy'' Thomas, 78, of Osceola, passed away on Friday, September 26, 2025, surrounded by family. He was born in Blue Mountain, Mississippi on November 8, 1946, to William and Edna Thomas. Troy loved to hunt, fish, garden and host family barbecues and other gatherings. Deer season was his favorite time of year.
Troy is survived by his grandson: Matt (Whitney) Driver, grandchildren: Ian, Scarlett, and Lucas Driver, brothers: Arlan (Erma) Thomas, Jimmy Thomas, special niece: Rita ''Katie'' Tomaszewicz, son-in-law: Jimbo Kennemore and a host of nieces, nephews and friends. He was preceded in death by his wife: Addie Mae Thomas, daughter: Tammy Gail Kennemore, sisters: Bobbie Jo Franklin, Betty Parnell, Carolyn Thomas, and sister-in-law: Beverly Thomas.
