Lorene was preceded in death by her parents, Oscar and Ethel Gwaltney; a brother, Walter Gwaltney; and her beloved husband, Lones O'Daniel.

Lorene was a beloved member of First Baptist Church of Batesville where she served in the nursery for over 25 years caring for many children during that time. She was devoted to her faith in Christ and could be found reading her Bible daily or listening to a service on the radio. She enjoyed needle point and sewing clothing for her family members. In her later years, Lorene enjoyed attending water aerobics with a group she affectionately called the ''water babies.'' She was a loving and patient woman that will be missed greatly.

Visitation will be held at Roller-Crouch Funeral Home Friday, September 26, 2025 from 6-8pm. Funeral services will be held at First Baptist Church, Saturday, September 27, 2025 at 11am. Graveside services to immediately follow at Oaklawn Cemetery.
