of Southside, AR
October 19, 1946 - September 21, 2025
Bobbie Jean (Garlin) Low passed away peacefully in the early morning hours of Sunday, September 21st. Bobbie was preceded in death by daughter, Sara Elizabeth Low; niece, Allison Justiss; brother, Ansel Ray Garlin and her parents.
Bobbie is survived by daughter, Rebecca Alyson Low; husband, Mike Low; sister, Rebecca (Al) McDowell and brother, Troy (Billie) Garlin.
Bobbie, a Batesville native, graduated from BHS in 1964. She married Mike on December 23, 1965. Through 60 years together, they experienced much happiness and they weathered sadness. They weren't just partners in life, but in business, pursuing their American dream via the ventures of Midwest Lime Company. Bobbie was also Mike's ''copilot'' in the family's small planes, sitting in the right hand seat as they flew around the country from the Rockies to the East Coast and from the Gulf Coast to the Canadian border. The Low home was Bobbie's sanctuary and she took great joy in making it a place of comfort and beauty for her husband and daughters.
Per Bobbie's wishes, interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Sara Low Scholarship fund at Batesville High School, 490 E. College Ave, Suite 256, Batesville, AR 72501 and UACCB, 2005 White Dr, Batesville, AR 72501. Contributions can also be made to the Humane Society of Independence County, 5 Environmental Drive, Batesville, AR 72501, https://www.hsicshelter.org/donate, the Old Independence Regional Museum, 380 South 9th Street, Batesville, AR 72501, https://www.oirm.org/oirm-donate and the Independence County Library, 267 E.
