of Newark, AR

September 14, 1959 - September 14, 2025

Deanna Jean Shaver, of Newark, Arkansas, passed away peacefully on September 14, 2025 at the age of 66 years old.

She was born in Parsons, Kansas, on September 14, 1959 to William Shaver and Wilma Shaver.

She attended Batesville schools and spent most of her life as a caregiver for her loved ones.

Deanna was a passionate, creative, and strong woman with a deep love for her family, for music, and for her Lord and family in Christ.

She was known for carrying gospel tracts to share with anyone who needed spiritual guidance; she was known for her gardening, specifically for being able to grow the most glorious and beautiful flowers; lastly, she was known for her immense love of music and for singing with all her heart and soul.

Deanna never met a stranger and was always willing to help others. She was a vibrant and curious soul, always full of surprises, who will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

She is survived by her daughter, Stephanie Morgan, and her son-in-law, Brian Morgan, of Keller, Texas.

She is also survived by three sisters and a brother: Sherry Coombs of Batesville, Arkansas;
Vicky Mitchell of Augusta, Kansas; Teresa Shaver of Little Rock, Arkansas; Rusty Shaver of Dolph, Arkansas.

She was preceded in death by her son, Cody Shaver; her mother, Wilma Shaver; and her father, William Shaver.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, September 21st from 4pm to 5 pm at Roller-Crouch Funeral Home on College Ave in Batesville.

The memorial service will be held graveside at 10am on Monday, September 22nd at Violet Hill Cemetery, in Violet Hill, Arkansas.

I can't believe this precious woman has gone home to her heavenly home. She will be greatly missed by my mom, my grandkids, and I. We enjoyed talking together and my grandkids loved her just like a grandma. Her faith in the Lord was shown to us all through her love and kindness she shared with us. The legacy will live within us forever. We love and miss her deeply. Go rest high on the mountain until we see you again my dear friend.
