Helen Janet Barr, 94, of Jonesboro, AR, passed away Thursday, September 18, 2025, at the Craighead Nursing Center. She was born June 24, 1931, in Weiner, AR, to Samuel and Lona (Leech) Berger. Helen worked as a secretary until retirement and was a member of the 1st Christian Disciples of Christ. She loved ceramics, playing cards and square dancing.
Helen was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Austin F. Barr; a son, Allen Dennis, and four siblings.
Survivors include her son, Randy (Kelly) Dennis; a daughter, Janet (Mike) Enfield; nine grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; and a sister, Ruth (Bob) Linn.
Graveside services will be 11:30 am Saturday, September 20, 2025 at Oak Grove Cemetery in Weiner, AR with Pam Hogue officiating.
No visitation is scheduled.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests lasting memorials in Helen's honor be made to the Weiner Fire Department.

I am going to my my grandma! Life gets hectic and I was only able to see her a couple of times throughout my adult life, but the times I shared with her, in the mornings watching her squirrels in her backyard, playing Canasta and other card games, those will be memories I will have forever. I will always love how kind she was to me when we were kids, and how she always went out of her way to visit us for the holidays. I love you and will soon you soon!
