of West Memphis, AR
October 27, 1977 - September 12, 2025
Mr. Christopher Damon ''TI'' Burchett, age 47, passed away peacefully at his home in West Memphis, Arkansas, on September 11, 2025, surrounded by his loving wife and family. Born on October 27, 1977, in Memphis, Tennessee, Chris will be remembered for his vibrant spirit, generous heart, and unwavering loyalty.
Known affectionately as ''TI,'' Chris had an extraordinary gift for fixing just about anythingâ€"from car engines to electronics. His love of working on cars was more than a hobby; it reflected his determination, skill, and hands-on nature. He also had a unique talent for spotting value where others saw none. Endearingly called his wife's personal ''Sanford and Son,'' Chris enjoyed collecting and restoring items others might have overlooked. Though his ever-growing collection of ''projects'' often tested Amanda's patience, their bond was unshakable. Together, they embraced life's adventuresâ€"whether dressing up for work events or simply sharing everyday joys.
Chris also found happiness in life's simple pleasures. He loved watching Storage Wars and wrestling, both of which reflected his appreciation for competition and the thrill of surprise. He had a wonderful sense of humor and loved to make people laugh, often joking around just to brighten someone's day. Chris never met a strangerâ€"he could strike up a conversation with anyone and make them feel like an old friend within minutes. His ability to connect with people was a true gift that left lasting impressions everywhere he went.
Above all, Chris was known for his loyalty and compassion. If someone needed help, he would drop everything to be there. His presence brought comfort and strength to all who knew him.
For the past ten years, Chris faced his illness with remarkable courage. No matter how difficult the struggle, he always put on a brave face, greeting others with warmth, humor, and strength.
Chris is survived by his devoted wife, Amanda Burchett; his children Christopher (Savanna) Hamilton, Tyler (Kristen) Hamilton, Hayden (Ashley) Gibson, Elrisha ''ReRe'' Burchett, Dorian Lindley, Traevyonne Burchett, Tarinikka Burchett, Zain Martindale, Ashton Reed, Lindsey Martindale, Kyra Scruggs, and Keenan Scruggs; and his cherished grandchildren Emberleigh Allen, Jaxon Hamilton, Warren Hamilton, and Sawyer Gibson. He also leaves behind his sisters Tanya McRae and DonKeshia Becton, and brothers Donald Becton, Jr., Bradley Kimble, DeAngelo Kimble, and Morgan Stitt, and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his father, Donald Becton Sr.; his mother, Linda Kimble-Stitt; and his sister, Chenita Harris.
A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, September 20, 2025, at First Baptist Church, 200 N. Missouri Street. Visitation will begin at 10:00 AM, followed by the funeral at 11:00 AM and repast at 12:00 PM.
May his memory be a blessing and a source of comfort to all whose lives he touched.
