Timothy Lee Friesen

of Bryant, AR

July 16, 1954 - September 2, 2025

Timothy Lee Friesen, age 71 of Bryant, AR, went to be with his Lord and Savior on September 2, 2025.

Tim was born on July 16, 1954, in Henderson, NE, to Levi and Elizabeth Friesen. He married Debra Ann Barnes in Omaha, NE, in 1981. Together they raised five children: Sarah, Michael, David, Elizabeth, and Benjamin.

Tim embodied his own quote ''People Matter'' in how he loved and served the Lord, his family, and others. He was faithful in ministering to his family by teaching his children and grandchildren about Jesus and the gospel. Tim was Debbie's best friend, confidant, and safe place. He provided for his family well, working diligently as a sales manager, modeling integrity, and putting others' needs and interests above his own. He took the time to express to those he loved what they meant to him, and was intentional in showing God's love and care to anyone in his path. He also invested his heart and service into Redeemer Community Church as an elder, encourager, and friend.

Those who went on to glory before him are his parents, Levi and Elizabeth Friesen, and his brother, Ken Friesen.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife Debbie, his children, Sarah and her husband Matt Hobbs, Michael and his wife Erin, David and his wife Meredith, Elizabeth and her husband Zach Rollings, Ben and his wife Zoar, and his 13 grandchildren, Grant, Rylee, Owen, Landon, Levi, Ezra, Eleanor, Titus, Cooper, Zoey, Wesley, Timmy, and baby girl Friesen (due in January).

Tim also leaves behind a sister Ruth and her husband Dale Strasser, a brother Lee and his wife Valerie, a sister-in-law Amy Friesen, many Friesen nieces, nephews, and cousins, Debbie's parents, Jerry and Dolores Barnes, the other members of the Barnes family, and all of his church family at Redeemer Community Church.

We are grateful to those who stood with us during this time by providing meals, visiting Tim in the hospital and at home, many acts of service, notes of encouragement, and the countless hours of prayers lifted up on our behalf. Our prayers have been answered. Tim is home.

There will be a private graveside service.

A 'Celebration of Life' service will be held on September 13, 2025, 2:00pm at:
Redeemer Community Church
11512 W. David O Dodd Rd.
Little Rock, AR 72204.

Donations can be made to Redeemer Community Church.

''Whom have I in heaven but Thee? And there is nothing on earth that I desire besides Thee. My flesh and my heart may fail, BUT GOD is the strength of my heart and my portion forever.'' Ps 73:25,26

I love Tim and will miss him much although I know he is doing very well now with his Lord Jesus Christ. He blessed my life! He and I led a small group at Redeemer Community Church for years. His name to me was Barnabus which means ''Son of Encouragement'' or ''Son of Comfort''. He always encouraged me no matter how much I had messed up.

Tim and Debbie have exemplified God's command to ''Love Thy Neighbor.'' They were the first to welcome my family into our new neighborhood in 1990. Tim was a shining example of what a Godly husband and father should be. His presence, kindness, and dedication to his family made a quiet, but meaningful impact on the neighborhood children that regularly came in and out of his home to play. No one could ever doubt who and what his family stood for: Jesus. As I lift up the family in prayers for peace and comfort during this difficult time, I also rejoice alongside you all in knowing Tim has finally heard, ''well done, thy good and faithful servant.'' Well done, Mr. Tim. Until we see you again.

To put it very simply and short: I don't think that I knew a better, more caring Christian gentleman than Tim Friesen. What a loss for all of us, but what a gain for Tim the moment the Lord took his soul into the throne room of heaven. He was a supreme example for all of us. I will deeply miss him, until we rejoice together in the presence of our Lord and Savior!

We are so grateful for the many years attending church together. Tim seemed to always be smiling! Becky and I always appreciated his tender spirit. Tim and his family would come to our house when we lived in Bryant to sing Christmas carols. He always had a gleam in his eye, he looked so happy to be out there with his family praising the Lord and encouraging others. Tim will be greatly missed! Until we meet again in Glory, we love you Tim.

We are so sorry for your loss. Although we didn't know Tim personally, we know he was a wonderful husband, father, and grandpa from what Matt and Sarah has told us. We will continue to pray for all of you. We are grateful for having Sarah a part of our family. She was raised by great parents. Sending prayers.

Tim still had the face of a young boy and what was not to love about that impish grin. He will be missed terribly by friends, as well as family. His passing leaves a hole in the hearts of many.

We love you and will miss you so much, Tim! You were always so eager to help when anyone had a spiritual need or problem and we will always remember that about you. We know we will see you again when we get to Heaven and as the song says… What a day of rejoicing that will be, when we all see Jesus, we'll sing and shout the victory!

I worked for Tim for 6 years at Alltel and Fidelity. He was a wonderful person. Loved his family and a devoted Christian. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family.
