of Conway, AR
June 28, 1931 - August 27, 2025
Mabel Jean Crocker, 94, of Conway, Arkansas went to be with the Lord, August 27, 2025. She was born on June 28, 1931, in Greenbrier, Arkansas, to John and Vernie Tippit.
Jean was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Cam Crocker, her two brothers, John Tippit and RL Tippit, and her sister, Arlene Mallett.
Jean was of that special generation raised during the great depression. She learned early the value of family, and placed great importance on her husband and children. (She also made the best fried chocolate pies in the state.)
Jean was strong in her faith and stayed in contact with her church long after she was unable to attend services due to health issues. She read and studied her bible nearly to the end.
Although Jean was primarily a homemaker, she did work outside the home, and retired from the International Shoe factory, where she made some lifelong friends. (Her cell phone was never far from her hands, and she had everyone on speed dial, so they all talked often.)
Jean was also a life-long dog lover, and had a number of cherished pets before switching her affections to the grand-dogs her kids rescued and brought home with them. She and therapy dog Olly developed a special bond when he visited her.
Left to cherish her memory are her children, Gary (Pat) and Retha Junyor (Robert), her uncle, Harold Dean Reynolds, and her aunt, Milgean Barton. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins who were all dear to her.
Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, August 30, 2025, at Roller McNutt funeral home in Conway, Arkansas, with private burial to follow at Crestlawn Memorial Park.
The family would also like to thank Vickie Perdue, and the Home Instead team, and Katie, the nurse from Gentiva Hospice, for making it possible for Jean to remain in her home.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to the Arkansas Alzheimer's Foundation.
