John ''Ball'' Johnson, 79, of Marianna, Arkansas passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 28, 2025 at his home. He was born on April 14, 1946 to Cam Johnson and Zula Mann Johnson in Marianna, Arkansas.
He is survived by his wife, Bessie Clark Johnson, of the home, one son, Mark Johnson (Sherri), of Marianna, Arkansas, one daughter, Angela Stewart (Shannon), of Forrest City, Arkansas, four grandchildren, Shelly Vickers (Will), Brandi Paulman (Bradley), Kassie Collins (Mack), Caden Johnson, seven great-grandchildren, Alexis Vickers, Kenlee Carter, Austin Paulman, Maddox Collins, Callen Collins, Ariel Russell (Colton), and Brad Vickers, three-great-great-grandchildren, Collin, Nash, and Jack Russell, three sisters, Bert Paulman, Cammie Benham, and Rose Edmondson and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents, one grandson, Justin Johnson, one granddaughter, Karrie Wilson, and ten brothers.
He retired after forty-six years from Camco Factory. Then later retired after sixteen years from Food Giant. He was a member of Friendship Baptist Church. He loved fishing, the Arkansas Razorbacks, and spending time with his grandkids and great grandkids.
Pallbearers will be Nathan Johnson, Wayne Paulman, Jimmy Huff, Joe Barnes, Bradley Paulman, and Will Vickers. Honorary pallbearers will be Mark Johnson, Shannon Stewart, Caden Johnson, Austin Paulman, and Mike Paulman.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, August 30, 2025 at 11:00 A.M. at Roller-Citizens Funeral Home in Marianna, Arkansas with Brother Marshall Coleman and Brother Charles McKendree officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to services. Burial will follow services at Oak Grove Cemetery in Moro, Arkansas.
