of Searcy, AR
May 17, 1947 - August 23, 2025
Sandra Lynn Harris Boaz, of Searcy, Arkansas was born in Stuttgart, Arkansas on May 17, 1947 and passed from this life on Saturday, August 23, 2025. She was preceded in death by her parents, Bill and Lil Harris and her son, Bobby Boaz. She is survived by her husband, Ned Boaz; daughter, Becky Boaz of Searcy, Arkansas; two brothers, Rick (Jan) Harris of Nashville, Tennessee and Kenny (Donna) Harris of Calvert City, Kentucky; sister, Nancy (Rusty) Meadows of Searcy, Arkansas; son-in-law, Matt Graf; four grandchildren, Annabelle Boaz-Petrie, Kaitlyn Petrie, Moira Petrie and Adam Moore and several nieces, nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews.
Sandra lived most of her early life in Stuttgart, Arkansas until her senior year of high school when her family moved to Searcy and she graduated from Harding Academy. The Harris family was involved in all kinds of sports and while Sandra did not play, she was a lifelong fan. She met and married Harding University basketball player, Ned, in 1965. After Ned graduated, Sandra started keeping her own scorebook for his AAU games to ''keep the other teams honest''. Her love for basketball and keeping the book touched the lives of many Harding University athletes, as she served as the official scorekeeper for the Bison basketball teams for 32 years, retiring just five years ago.
At the age of 25, Sandra became a Mary Kay Cosmetics Consultant, a career that she shared with many women in her 50 years with the company. In addition to selling Mary Kay, she also worked in several offices at Harding University, with the longest time being at Student Support Services. Over the years, Sandra encouraged many students to stay in school with her kind words and understanding smile.
Sandra's other interests included cake decorating and quilting. Over the years, she made dozens of wedding cakes for family and friends. Sometimes those same family and friends received a handmade quilt, as well.
A visitation will be held from 1-2:30 pm on Wednesday, August 27, 2025 at College Church of Christ, with a memorial service to follow at 2:30 pm.

I spent many years as a Mary Kay Consultant with Sandra. She was such a pleasure to share the joys of Mary Kay. I sure will miss her.
Sandra was a huge blessing to me and many others while I was a student at Harding. She took care of us and fed us in her home many times!! She even made a wonderful wedding cake for us. She was always a great encouragement. Our hearts and prayers go out to Ned, Becky, and the rest of the family. May God comfort you and give you peace!
Sandra was a mentor, teacher, leader, and friend. Always kind. A pioneer and light for

God bless you all. Sandra was a special friend. We always enjoyed the holidays when the Boaz clan gathered at Pop pop's and Granmommys. Love you.
Mrs Sandra was my next-door neighbor in Cloverdale for about 11 years she was always so kind and had the best conversations. I had a salon salon attached to my house and I did her hair several times. She love to have her hair and make up done Prayers for Mr. Ned and his family.
Sandra was one of my dearest friends. I cared for her mom in her last years at Harding Place. There is where I met Sandra and came to love her so much. She introduced me to Mary Kay and from there we took several road trips to Seminar together. We became close as years went by and spent many days sharing our lives over Starbucks coffee.
I love her deeply and will miss her. I will never forget how she fed into my life.
Just want to send all my love and deepest condolences to you. I loved the thought of Bobby giving his mom the biggest hug up in heaven, welcoming her home. I love you all!
