Uele Maluia

of Conway, AR

January 5, 1994 - August 14, 2025

Uele Maluia, 31, of Conway, AR passed away peacefully on August 14, 2025, at 6:10pm. He was born on January 5, 1994, in Pago Pago, American Samoa.

He is preceded in death by his father (Mulufua Autasi Maluia), his grandparents (Uele and Tali'ilagi Maluia), and uncles (Tino and Malisi Maluia). Uele is survived by his mother (Mariamere Maluia), Brother (Mulufua Jr. Maluia), Aunt/Mom, Lela Uele Maluia Brim (Ira), Uncles: Tula Maluia, Uele Jr. Maluia (son-Darren), Sailele Tulafale (Kathy & children Lafoga, Amethyst, Sailele, Matapua, and Fiva), and Fiva Tulafale (Cheryl), Sister Tali Bona and husband Ross and their child Laki-Kekai, Brother (Tino Uele), Fur Babies (Bandit, Buddha, Bo, and Binxy), and many other nieces, nephews, friends, and extended family. He will be missed by his work family at the Conway Department of Sanitation, who have poured their support and prayers throughout this entire process.

Anyone who met Uele knew him to be easy-going, funny, hardworking, giving, and always ready to help anyone he loved or anyone in need. He was the light of most spaces he occupied, even though he would be shy at the attention his kindness would earn him. He was humble to a fault, never bragging on his talents with drawing/art and never doing a kind deed for notoriety- in fact, when he did something kind, he usually tried to do it subtly and quietly so he wouldn't be thanked, and he never looked to receive anything for the love and kindness he shared to others.

Uele was a fighter to the very end. After a tragic and traumatic injury, he fought valiantly at UAMS in Little Rock for 3 weeks before finally joining his loved ones and finding peace. Uele's impact, his kindness, his humor, and his love will live on through all who had the honor of knowing him. He is greatly missed by everyone who knew him.

Amuia le masina, e alu ma toe sau. Blessed is the moon, for it leaves and returns. May heaven greet you with the warmth and love you gave to all of us, Uele.

There will be a visitation at 12:00pm followed by funeral services at 1:00pm located at Roller McNutt Funeral Home in Conway, Arkansas.

To the good family of Uele Maluia:

Very well-written obituary. Words cannot express how devastated we are to lose our Uele. Uele was one of a kind. He was one of the hardest workers I've ever known, and one of the humblest people I've ever known. He is already missed, and his legacy will live on at the City of Conway - Department of Sanitation. I always enjoyed working around Uele. He was funny and loved to joke around but could certainly be serious when he needed to be. I appreciated him as a good man, and as a friend. HIs laughter is probably what I will remember the most. It was unique, indeed. My deepest sympathy and prayers for his good family. Uele will never be forgotten. Rest easy my brother. You are loved and missed.
