Mrs. Shirley Ann Lack-Gardner, 82, of Midway, Arkansas passed away on Wednesday, August 20, 2025 in Mountain Home, Arkansas. She was born on October 14, 1942 in Gassville, Arkansas to Ralph and Ora (Hodges) McCracken. She was married to Donald Lee Lack until his passing in 1996 and Bob Gardner until his passing in 2006. She worked for Marbax Shirt Company for many years and managed the Bull Shoals Caverns, Mountain Village 1890 and the Bull Shoals Tower. She loved dancing, horseback riding, traveling, stock car racing, hunting, fishing, camping and generally being outdoors. She was the matriarch of the family.
Shirley is survived by two children: Holly Lee Rodgers (Tommy) and Eddie Don Lack (Bridgett); six grandchildren: T.J. Brown (Sara), Billy Joe Brown (Courtney), Christy Lee Robinson (Cole), Kris Lance Rodgers (Megan), Toni Marie Lack and Jarrod Lack and six great-grandchildren: Jayme Brown, Liam Brown, Barret Brown, Rostyn Rodgers, Henley Robinson and Ellie Robinson. She was preceded in death by her husbands, parents and daughter, Lesa Ann Lack-Monahan.
A visitation will be held between 4-6:00pm on Saturday, August 23, 2025 at Roller Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held at 2:00pm on Sunday, August 24, 2025 at Hand Valley Cemetery with honorary pallbearers: T.J. Brown, Billy Brown, Jayme Brown, Kris Rodgers, Jarrod Lack and Cole Robinson. Interment will follow the service, along with a gathering of family and friends at Eddie Lack's house.
I want to offer my condolences to Shirley's family and friends. I worked with Shirley and Holly at Bull Shoals Caverns and Mountain Village 1890 for several summers. I remember Shirley as a nice person and a role model for her work ethic. May God bless her loved ones and provide comfort during this difficult time.

Sending prayers for the whole family! I loved Shirley she was one of the nicest people I have ever met . She was kinda like a second mom to me always made me feel like part of the family! She was an amazing cook too! Sending prayers and hugs to the family!!

As a popular upper-class mate at Cotter High, Shirley was a friendly, popular girl…and such a good skater! ( The Brixey family had the Starlight Drive-In & Skating Rink …a popular spot for so many of all us area teens!) My condolences to all Shirley's family.
