Cletus D. Eppinette

of Maumelle, AR

May 31, 1933 - August 17, 2025

Cletus D. Eppinette, born Cletus Ballard in Benton, Arkansas finally got to see her Jesus face to face, on August 17, 2025, at the age of 92. Though her earthly journey has ended, her legacy of laughter and love lives on in the hearts of all who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Bessie Ballard; her siblings, Evelyn Green and Odell Ballard; her husband of 52 years, Don Eppinette; and her son, Charles Eppinette.

Cletus is survived by her devoted daughter, Jan Moore; her sister, Alta Fern Cavins; eight grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and other close family, each one a source of immense pride and joy. Her family was her greatest treasure, and she loved them fiercely.

A proud graduate of Benton High School's Class of 1950, Cletus rarely missed a class reunion and cherished those lifelong friendships she formed there. After graduation, she married Don on May 20th, and together they built a life filled with adventure and faith. Throughout her life, Cletus wore many hats: scrub nurse, office manager in both medical and legal practices, and business manager for Don's entrepreneurial pursuits.

Cletus was also an avid Razorback fan, serving for many years as an officer in the Razorback Club. Whether cheering in the stadium or from her couch dressed in full Razorback gear, her enthusiasm for her Hogs was unmatched.

Beyond sports, Cletus found serenity in nature. Whether tending to her plants, admiring her flowers, or delighting in the birds and squirrels that visited her yard, she found peace and contentment in the simple beauty of God's creation.

A faithful member of Immanuel Baptist Church since 1992, Cletus found connection and comfort in her church community especially with her Sunday School ''Grace Class''. Her faith was strong and steadfast, and it carried her through life's joys and sorrows with grace.

Known for her quick wit, gentle strength, and boundless kindness, Cletus had a gift for making everyone feel like family, because to her, they were. She leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and loyalty. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.

A celebration of her life will be held at Roller - Chenal Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday, August 23rd at 12:30 p.m., with visitation beginning at 11:30 a.m. Together let us remember the remarkable woman who made the world a lot brighter.

Dear Jan,

I'm so sorry for the loss of your mother. She was a great neighbor to my parents as they lived on the same street in North Little Rock. I'm hoping that fond memories help you through this difficult time. Sending you hugs and good vibes.

My love and prayers are with the family. I never knew aunt Cletus very well but when we did talk she was always so kind and wanted to know what was going on with her sister Alta.
We'll get to know each other better in heaven 🙌🙌

I am so sad to hear of the passing of precious ''Gran.'' She was sweet and feisty. I loved her charming wit, and I often enjoyed our hilarious conversations while growing up with her Granddaughter Sarah. I am so sorry for the immense loss this will be for Jan, Sarah, Kim, and all the great grandkids. However, I am overjoyed with the knowledge that Gran is now with Jesus. My love and condolences for all that knew and loved her.
