Boyce Harmon

of Batesville, AR

June 5, 1935 - August 10, 2025

Boyce D. Harmon, 90, of Batesville passed away August 10, 2025. He was born June 5, 1935 in Bethesda, Arkansas to Austin and Clarice Harmon.

Boyce worked for the U.S. Postal Service for more than 25 years and made many friends along his mail route.

He was loved and respected by all who knew him, had a gentle and kind spirit and always found something nice to say about everyone. He was sought after as a peacemaker and counselor. Most of all, he loved his God, his church and his family. A member of the North Heights Church of Christ, he served as an elder for 35 years.

He loved to sing and had a beautiful tenor voice. Some of his favorite times were family gatherings where hymnals were brought out and voices were raised in praise.

Survivors include his beloved wife of 69 years, Lovenia Harmon of the home; two children, David Harmon (Sandy) of Sulphur Rock, Arkansas and Pam Cross (Michael) of Conway, Arkansas; four grandchildren, Jeremy Harmon (Jessica) of Maumelle, Arkansas, Amy Holstine of Viola, Arkansas, Kelly Elliott (Jeremy) of Abilene, Texas and Karie Riddle (Jonathan) of Oak Park, California; nine great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Austin and Clarice and his brother, Leon.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Children's Homes Inc., 5515 Walcott Rd, Paragould, AR 72450

Pallbearers are Mike Harmon, Don Harmon, Steve Harmon, Jeremy Harmon, Keagan Harrison and Grady Harrison. Honorary pallbearers are Bill Whittington, Jim Williams, Ron Dowdy, Tom Tackett, John Freeman and Paul Smith, Jr.

Jimmy and I are so sorry for your loss. Boyce was the kindest, most gentle man we have ever known. He loved his family, his church family and most importantly his God. We are all going to miss his sweet spirit, but the angels in heaven are rejoicing.
