Donny, I am so saddened by the loss of your mom. And as you know, we are in Texas visiting our son snd family and I will miss my dear friends service. My sweet memories of your mom will remain in my heart forever. I saw her only a few months ago and was so hoping to see her at our class reunion, which she was unable to attend. I remember her, Nancy, Betty and I as a special group of friends , who loved each other dearly and would do anything for anyone. My first job was working with Shirley at Conway Shoe Store, when she left, I left also!! It was an honor to be with her as she performed. I treasure the memories of my dear friend. Donny, you and your family are in my prayers always.

Donny and family so sorry to hear about Shirley, know you & the family will miss her. I was one of the class mates of 1958 and she, Nancy, Nanette and I had many great times together during those days. I remember all the times that she and Kermit sang at the Faulkner County Fair. Remember all the songs that she sang and keep them in your heart, peace and comfort to all.
I always thought a lot of Shirley. At a get together, the police ere having, she was singing and playing her guitar, and I asked her was she Loretta Lynn. I was only in the third grade at the time. Shirley answered with, "Yes hon, I'm Loretta Lynn. Thank You that makes me feel so much better." I also worked with her at the FCSO. She was one of my favorites. My thoughts and prayers go out to the family.
I send my condolences to the family. May God grant you comfort and peace.

Spent many years and way too many calls to count with Shirley and she always, ALWAYS had my back. Also had the pleasure of sharing a few stages with her & Kermit as well. Her warm smile is what I choose to remember and that will be missed. Donnie, you will be in my thoughts and prayers over the coming days. Your mom was a very special, and talented lady, and I am proud that she considered me one of her friends. Your loss is Heaven's gain.
Shirley and I were close to same age. I remember you and your mother coming to church at Central. I also remember her and your uncle singing together on the stage at many concerts. Sorry for the loss of your mother
