Gela Elizabeth Loeschner (Nanny), 99, of Snow Lake, Arkansas passed away peacefully on August 6, 2025, at her daughter's house in Mosby, AR. She was born on July 13, 1926 in Clarendon, Arkansas to John and Minnie Henry.
Nanny was a devoted wife to Charles Loeschner for 63 years, a loving mother and a cherished grandmother, great and great-great grandmother.
Nanny will be remembered for her unwavering love of God, great cooking, immense love for all her kids and church family, gardening, quilting, laughter and ''cutting up''. She dedicated her life to her family and always had a listening ear for those she loved.
She is survived by her three children, Marshall Loeschner ( Beverly), Linda Kay Davidson, Ronnie Loeschner (Nancy); five grandchildren, Johnny Loeschner (Cindy), Jeff Loeschner (Jill), Tammy Roberts (Richard), Lisa Ingle, and Jennifer Davis (Shane); eleven great grandchildren, Matt Roberts (Lindsey), Megan Smith (CJ), Blake Harper (Micah), Bradley Harper (Madison), Zack Harper (Grace Ann), John Luke Davis, Briar Loeschner, Dustin Loeschner, Kristie Cannon, Kira Gomez, and Chase Loeschner and many great-great grandchildren including, Nolan Roberts, Annie Roberts, Tinley smith, Tessa Smith, Stetson Harper, Hudson Harper, Anna Blake Harper, and Callie Rose.
She is preceded in death by her husband Charles Loeschner of 63 years; her son, Danny Russell, her sister, and five brothers.
We would like to say a special thanks to elite hospice crew. What a blessing they were to Nanny and the whole family!
Serving as pallbearers will be Mike Montgomery, Tony Silva, Philip Gattas, David Harper, Eric Sanderlin and Jonathan Smith.
Honorary pallbearers will be Jimmy Faulkner, Steve Lamb and Ricky Caery.
A funeral service honoring the life of Mrs. Gela Elizabeth Loeschner will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, August 9, 2025, at Roller-Citizens Funeral Home in West Helena, Arkansas. A visitation will be held prior at 10:00 a.m. Brother Luke Watson and Brother John Compton will officiate. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens in West Helena, Arkansas.

I knew Gila when all her children were young ,some since they were babies ,when I was young we all lived at Snow Lake and went to Church together at The Snow Lake Church and when my children were babies too I really liked Gila and Charles ! When I moved from Snow Lake to Helena Gila gave me a Going away Party I saw her a couple years ago at Wal-Mart she knew me ! She was still as sharp as a tack always a sweet lady.!!
I am so sorry to hear about the passing of my long time friend. My memories of her runs deep in my heart where we sang together many years ago. Her family has a very special place in my heart, love them as my family. Many prayers are being lifted from r God's grace to cover this family. I know she is celebrating with Jesus as I'm writing this. May God bless this family through this time of grief. Love you all.
