Jimmy Dale Jones, 81, went to be with his Lord and Savior on August 4, 2025.
He was a member of West Memphis First Assembly of God Church where he served in many roles over the years including Men's Ministries, Royal Rangers (boys' ministries), Greeter, singing in the Choir, and Deacon.
His church family was always important to him, and he will be missed there.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Pat, who he is now with for eternity.
His parents, Earl and Loyal Jones, his sisters Ina Jones. Eva Jones, and Ruth Sanders, his brother, Kenneth Jones, brothers-in-law Richard Sanders and Carl Malloy, and nieces Marie Malloy and Amanda Sanders.
Among those left to cherish his memory are his daughter and son-in-law, Becky and Bill Harness of Marion, AR,
and his granddaughter, Heather Harness of West Memphis, AR.
His sister, Sue Malloy of Canalou, MO,
His sister-in-law, Margie Wilkinson of Fairfield Bay, AR, and his brother-in-law, John Childress (JoAnn) of Shreveport, LA.
He also leaves generations of nieces and nephews, including Sandra Scott (Daniel), Paula Shoemake (Scott), Chris Childress (Angela), Sheila Goergen (Gregory), Richard Sanders (Jessica), and Van Malloy (Charla).
He was a devoted husband, Daddy, Pa, brother and uncle - and he will be missed by all.
Visitation will be Thursday, August 7th at 10:00 am, with service following at 11:00 am at Roller Citizens Funeral Home in West Memphis.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorials be made to First Assembly of God Building Fund in West Memphis, AR or to a missions' project of your choice.
Dale was such a fine, Christian man of God. 🙏🙏
May you be comforted by the promise of the resurrection and the knowledge that soon death will be no more and never again will we have to bury our loved ones. God makes this wonderful promise to is at Isaiah 25:8 where it states that he will "swallow up death forever." I hope you find solace in these words.
