Jimmy Donald Adams III, 40, passed away on Thursday, July 31, 2025 in Wynne, Arkansas. He was born in Helena, Arkansas on Thursday, November 8, 1984 to Jimmy Donald Adams, Jr. and Lori Shattuck.

Jimmy leaves behind his wife, Mallory Adams; two sons, Peyton and Jamie Adams; his mother, Lori Adams; two brothers, Zach Adams (Lindsay) and Charles Marshall Adams (Wendy); nieces, Bailey, Aubree and Madylin; nephews, Charles Jr., Collin, Dylan and Jacob a host of family and friends.
He is preceded in death by his father, along with his paternal and maternal grandparents.
A memorial service honoring the life of Jimmy Adams will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, August 4, 2025 at the Hope Church in West Helena, Arkansas. Pastor Qway Duvall will officiate.
I met Jimmy when he was in my Homeroom his Senior year. Every morning, my students would come into homeroom, not yet truly awake or ready for the day. Grumbling was normal. Except for Jimmy. Every morning, he would come in smiling, telling me "Good Morning" like he meant it. He made it impossible to be in a bad mood. He was an absolute joy. A little later, when I had Zack in Homeroom, I found it touching that Zack always spoke highly of his brother. He was proud to be Jimmy's brother. As the years passed, I would run into Jimmy every once in a while. He was the same guy--pleasant, smiling with his eyes, mannerly in an old-school kind of way. He continued to be an absolute joy. I am so sorry to hear of his loss, but I'll always be so grateful to have crossed paths with Jimmy Adams!
