Pamela Denise Dickinson McCurry, age 59, of Maumelle, Arkansas passed away peacefully on July 25, 2025 surrounded by loved ones.
Pam was born on February 18, 1966 in Shreveport, Louisiana to Reverend LeRoy and LuCille Dickinson. She graduated from Harding Academy and went on to Harding University where she earned a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education. She later earned a Masters degree in Educational Leadership also from Harding University.
Pam McCurry, beloved wife, loving mother and cherished dog mom to Chester, lived a life rooted in love, faith and service to others. She was married to the love of her life for 30 years and together they built a home filled with laughter, kindness and unwavering love. As a mother, she was a source of strength, wisdom and unconditional love, placing her family at the center of her world. Her gentle spirit extended to her beloved dog Chester, whom she adored and treated as a member of the family.
Her professional life was marked by excellence and dedication in the field of education, where she spent 34 years shaping young minds and inspiring fellow educators. Known for her integrity, compassion and leadership, she earned the deep respect and admiration of her colleagues and the countless students whose lives she touched. Her legacy as an educator will endure in the many lives she helped guide and the communities she helped uplift.
A faithful Christian woman, she lived her life with grace and humility, always believing in the power of prayer and the goodness of God. She loved fiercely, laughed easily and shared her wisdom generously. Her humor and joy would bring a smile to anyone's face and her ability to connect with others left a lasting impression on those she met. Though she will be deeply missed, her legacy of love, faith and service will continue to shine in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
Pam is survived by her husband, Truett McCurry of Maumelle, Arkansas; her daughter, Anna-Grace Minner of Searcy, Arkansas; her brother, Reverend Ronnie Dickinson and his wife, Pat of Oxford, Mississippi and her sister, Debbie Faust and her husband, Kenny of Manor, Texas and many other loved family members and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Reverend LeRoy and LuCille Dickinson and her paternal grandparents, R.M. and Nora Dickinson and her maternal grandparents, A. J. and Leola McDonald.
A service to honor and celebrate Pam's life will be held on August 2, 2025 at 10:00 am at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home in Conway, Arkansas.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Alzheimer's Association in Pam's memory.
The family would like to thank the doctors and nurses in the SICU and CCU at Baptist Health Medical Center in Little Rock, Arkansas for their excellent care during this time.
