Ruby Jean Lowrance Black departed this life for her heavenly reward on July 27, 2025 at the age of 96.
Ruby was born January 29, 1929 in Plant, Arkansas to parents, Bessie Eoff Lowrance and Thomas Jefferson Lowrance. She later met and married the love of her life, Charles Freeman Black. Together they raised eight children and celebrated 53 years of marriage.
Apart from her family, Ruby's greatest joy in life was serving the Lord. She was a member of Bethel Community Church, Cleveland, Arkansas.
Ruby is preceded in death by her parents, Bessie and Thomas Lowrance; sisters, Bernice (Edward) Isaac, Geneva (Sam) Black, Irma Webb; brothers, Jessie Franklin Lowrance (infant), William (Edna) Lowrance and Wayne (Patti and Betty); husband, Freeman Black; one son, Charles Franklin (Frankie) Black; grand son-in-law, Brandon (Shanna) Bellamy; daughter-in-law, Kim (Darrell) Black and son-in-law, Richard (Lovonne) Stobaugh.
Ruby leaves seven children: Frances (Pee Wee) Bennett, Leon (Charlotte) Black, Yvonne (Edward) McDearmon, Lovonne (Richard) Stobaugh, Carl (Lisa) Black, Charlene Black Johnson and Darrell (April) Black.
Grandchildren: Sue (Del) Bird, Richard (Shelly) Stobaugh, JoAnn (Greg) Myers, Matthew (Chelsie Rose) Heather Biggs, Sharon Bennett, Clint (Raelynn) Black, Rissa (Jeremy) Nicholson, Ashley (Aaron) Biggs, Shanna Lynn Bellamy, Debbie (Steven) Hoyle Boyd, Deloris (Richard) Hoyle Rummel, Alisha (Jordan) Ray, Britteny (Jordan) Hern, Casey (Amanda) Black, Melissa (Sam) Collins, Mandie (Shane) Kussmal, Misty Kuster, Nicholas Black, Cody Wayne Johnson and Chris Jones.
Siblings: Alma Loretta (Adam) Bates, James (Janna Lee) Lowrance and Margie (Norman Lee) Meadows.
Ruby also leaves behind a multitude of Great grand children as well as great great grandchildren.
Today, we mourn for our loss of such a wonderful spirit presence in our lives. But, we rejoice in knowing she will be waiting to greet us in Heaven.

Visitation will be from noon to 1:00 pm on Thursday, July 31, 2025 at Lighthouse Christian Fellowship Church in Scotland, Arkansas. Funeral services will follow at 1:00 pm at the church.
Interment will be at Foster Cemetery in Scotland, Arkansas.

Our Lord Jesus Christ was very busy Sunday. Welcoming a sweet soul into heaven, baptizings, and a wedding all in one day. He is a good God. I know the feeling of losing a mother and grandmother. I am sorry for you loss.
