May 7, 1940 - July 27, 2025
Leah Deborah (Copeland) Brader, 85, of Diamond City, Arkansas passed away on Sunday, July 27, 2025 at her home.
She was born on May 7, 1940 in Snow, Arkansas to the late DH and Jeffie (Ledford) Copeland. Leah was a 1959 graduate of Yellville-Summit High School. After graduating, she married Lanny Brader and the couple moved to Florida, where Leah enjoyed waterskiing and horseback riding. The two resided there for thirty years before moving back to the Ozarks where they were both born and raised. She was a lover of gardening, crocheting, animals and spending family time. She will be remembered as a kind and compassionate person who was a wonderful wife and mother.
Leah is survived by her loving husband of 60 years, Lanny Brader of the home; daughter, Leesha Miller (Mark) of Sebring, Florida; brother, Dale Copeland (Sue) of Harrison, Arkansas; sisters, Barbara Keer of Harrison, Arkansas and Jean Ward of Yellville, Arkansas; many cousins, nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents and brothers, Fred Copeland, Junior Copeland and Johnny Copeland.

Mom was a beacon in any storm, my favorite person in the world, and a strong woman who always suffered in silence when trials made life difficult. She shielded and protected me from unpleasantries... even to the end. She, like so many of the Copeland clan, was quick with a laugh and a smile, endearing her to all who knew her.
Please accept my apologies for any errors or times left unmentioned in the obituary. I was a bit numb as we sat through the writing of it. I was present during the process but completely unprepared. I could have mentioned the many years she lived in Flippin and worked at what the locals called the "shirt factory", advancing from a sewing machine operator to a supervisory position and office worker. We moved to Monett, Missouri in 1975 where she worked at the Missouri Unemployment Office, a job she truly loved. Upon moving to Florida in 1977 she joined the staff of The Family Services Center, a counseling service for those suffering, a difficult position at times, but who better to serve than one as compassionate as my mother. She loved her family and upon retirement returned to Arkansas to enjoy her latter years in their company.
I loved her very much.
It's hard to say goodbye to someone who brought so much warmth, wisdom, and grace into this world. You were more than a friendā"you were a steady light, a gentle heart, and a soul full of kindness. You had a way of making people feel seen and loved, just by being yourself.
Your stories, your laughter, your strengthā"those things will stay with us always. I will miss your smile, your comforting words, and the way you made even ordinary days feel special.
Though you've left this world, your spirit remains in all the lives you touched. Thank you for the love you gave so freely. I'll carry your memory in my heart forever.
Rest peacefully, dear friend. You were truly one of a kind.

Aunt Deb was a hoot! We always had so much fun with her. She was the Aunt that would let you get away with all the things that parents wouldn't allow. She will make it fun for everyone in heaven, for sure! Goodbye Aunt Deb.....
