of Marianna, AR
August 2, 1948 - July 24, 2025
Mr. Robert Edward ''Rob'' Walker, age 76, of Marianna passed away peacefully Tuesday, July 22, 2025 at his home. Rob was born on August 2, 1948 in Helena, AR. He was the son of William Clay and Ruby Inez Walker. He was a 1966 graduate of T.A. Futrall High School. After high school, he attended East Arkansas Community College and obtained one of the first technology degrees at EACC.
Rob joined the United States Air Force in 1969 where he served until 1989. During this time, he received numerous achievement medals and awards as a Master Sergeant & Strategic Aircraft Maintenance Technician, specifically working on B52 Bombers.
After returning to Marianna, Rob became the go-to person for countless friends, families and small businesses in need of help with computers and technology. With his endless knowledge of technology, he would help with fixing a slow computer, setting up a new system or patiently teaching someone how to send an email.
Rob's love for his church and community ran deep. He believed in the power of prayer and service and never sought recognition for his contributions, only the chance to make someone's day a little easier. Rob was more comfortable behind the scenes, finding joy in photographing others and sharing his talents with his community. You could always find him with his camera in hand at Autumn on The Square, family gatherings and local sporting events.
Rob is preceded in death by his parents and two sisters. Rob is survived by his loving wife, Teresa, three daughters, four grandchildren and one great-grandson and a special bonus family by marriage.
A celebration of life will be held at The First Christian Church on July 29, 2025 at 2pm. In lieu of flowers, the family request memorials be made to The First Christian Church of Marianna, Lee Academy, Marianna- Rob Walker Technology Fund or the Arkansas Freedom Fund.
