Daniel Dewayne Chism, 64, passed away on Monday, July 21, 2025 in West Helena, Arkansas. He was born in Helena, Arkansas on Sunday, May 28, 1961 to Amos Chism and Betty Price.
He worked in construction and worked on the river for many years. In his spare time, he enjoyed deer hunting and was always ready to help others. Daniel's pride and joy were his grandchildren and great grandchildren who hung the moon to him.
Daniel survives by his son, Danny Chism (Tiffany); mother, Betty Inebit; grandchildren, Alaina Chism, Kurstin Skinner, Aiden Chism, Haley Addison, Kendall Chism and Alexis Chism; great grandchildren, Layla Chism, John Wayne Bottorff and Keaton Emerson; sister, Norma Whaley and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
He is preceded in death by his father, Amos Chism and son, Jonathan Chism.
Serving as pallbearers will be Danny Chism, Aiden Chism, Tray Brown and Justin Kilpatrick.
A graveside service honoring the life of Daniel Chism will be held 10:00 a.m. on Friday, July 25, 2025 at Central Cemetery in Lexa, Arkansas. Brother Audi Richardson will officiate. Interment will follow.
