of Little Rock, AR
December 9, 1946 - July 21, 2025
Margaret Ann Ward (formerly Adams, née Smith), 78, of Little Rock, Arkansas passed peacefully into the arms of her Savior on July 21, 2025 surrounded by her loving family.
Margaret lived a life defined by grace, faith and quiet strength. Born on December 9, 1946 to Frank and Gladys Smith (Bruington) in Cherryvale, Kansas, she grew up with a heart for service and a love for people that would shape every chapter of her life. A proud graduate of Independence schools, she later attended Pittsburgh College before beginning a 31-year career with Southwestern Bell (AT&T), where she formed lifelong friendships and served with loyalty and pride.
She was the Life Member Representative for AT&T Telephone Pioneers and a longtime volunteer with both Pioneers and Care Caps. Retirement only deepened her devotion to helping others.
Margaret's faith was her foundation. As a faithful member of Life Line Baptist Church, she served in multiple capacities, with compassion, humility and a ready smile. She was the friend everyone hoped to have and the rock her family could always count on.
Margaret was preceded in death by her parents, several siblings, her beloved husband, Robert and one daughter, Elizabeth Adams. She is survived by her daughters, Amy Brewer (Michael) of Hot Springs Village and Heather Lowrey (Shawn) of Hot Springs; her treasured grandchildren, Kelsey Wright, Madison Justice (Nathan), Mason Schoonover, Karlee Marrall, Chandler Marrall, Chase Lowrey, Sawyer Lowrey; one beloved great-granddaughter, Winnie Justice and a large circle of extended family and dear friends who will miss her deeply.
She was a devoted wife, mother, nana and ''bonus'' nana to many; never missing a birthday, a game, or a chance to show up with love. She had a gift for making people feel seen and special. Her joy was infectious, her generosity unmatched and her legacy is one of unwavering love and kindness.
A celebration of life service will be held Thursday, July 24th at Life Line Baptist Church in Little Rock. Visitation will begin at 10:00am. A celebration of her life will begin at 11:00am with Bro. Jeff Dial officiating.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to "The CALL" of Garland County or to Life Line Baptist Church's Youth Program, continuing Margaret's lifelong commitment to faith, family and the next generation.

Such a precious friend!
Jerry and I are heartbroken to hear of the passing of our neighbor (Margaret Ward). What a joy it had been to get to know her and the family. We will always treasure the memories we have made over the years. Romans 14:8 ''For whether we live, we live for the Lord; and if I die, we die for the Lord. So, whether we live or die, we belong to the
Lord.'' This verse speaks to Margaret's life. Be at peace knowing she lived a good life.
Margaret was a dear friend. I will always miss her!!
On behalf of my wife Kim and myself.. our deepest sympathies. Knowing her daughter Heather and how incredibly awesome she is, I only wish we had longer to get to know this incredible person .. I am sure that heaven is rejoicing 🙏 We love you Heather and Shawn❤️

From the moment John Paul brought me to Lifeline, Margaret always had a smile and hug for me. She will be dearly missed.
Margaret was a joy to be with, she always had a smile on her face. She really liked my carrots so I made sure if we had a meal at church that I made them for her. Psalms 122:1-2 My favorite song, ''Through It All '' Love In Christ, Adeline Luzader
