William (Bill) Cross, 96, of Benton, Arkansas passed into the arms of his Savior on July 20. Bill was born January 16, 1929 in Rosston, Arkansas to Thomas Jethro and Sarah Jewel Cross.

Bill served in the U.S. Army and spent his entire career at International Paper Company in Camden. He enjoyed woodworking, gardening and most of all, spending time with his family. While in Camden, he was a member of Hillside Baptist Church where he served as a Sunday School teacher and participated in several mission trips. After moving to Benton, he was a member of First Southern Baptist Church and Geyer Springs First Baptist Church. He also served as a Gideon for many years.

Bill is preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Madelyn; brothers, Wallace, Paul, Lanny; two infant siblings and his daughter-in-law, Debbie.

He is survived by his wife of 70 years, Margaret; a son, Phillip Cross of Cape Fair, MO; daughters, Suzanne (Chris) Nadaskay of Milan, TN and Angela (Mike) Weaver of Benton, AR. He was a loving Papaw to grandchildren, Lauren Cross, Sydney (Maurice) Henry, Sarah (Caleb) LeNoir, Josh Cross, Jace (Laura) Weaver, Aaron (Kaylan) Weaver, Jonathan (Rachel) Nadaskay, Julianne (Nick) Gerber and Jack Cross. He had 14 great grandchildren. He is also survived by siblings, Sybil Ray, Jerry Cross and Liz Skyles.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 23rd at Roller Alcoa Funeral Home at 9:00 a.m. Celebration of life will follow beginning at 10:00 a.m. at the Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will be at Mt. Moriah Cemetery in Rosston, AR at 1:30 p.m.

Memorial donations may be made to Gideon's International at gideons.org/donate or "Samaritan's Purse".

The family would like to thank the staff of The Manor Assisted Living and Hospice Home Care for their kind and loving support of Dad in his last months. Also, a special thank you to Dawn Kolb for her care and friendship to Dad and Mom over the last several years.
