David Eugene Blanton

of Judsonia, AR

October 20, 1950 - July 19, 2025

David Eugene Blanton, 74, of Judsonia, AR passed from this life on Saturday, July 19, 2025. He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife of 36 years, 11 months and 21 days, Sue (Cooper) Blanton; sons, Troy Blanton of Wooster, AR, Terry Clay of Searcy AR, and Phillip Clay of Jonesboro, AR, and granddaughter, Mary Jane Blanton of Wooster, AR; Sister, Judy Wilkenson of Sullivan, MO. He had one brother, Troy Blanton of Newport News, VA, who preceded him in death. He leaves many close friends and extended family members to cherish his memory.

David worked for more than 30 years for ITT in Searcy until it closed and then 10 more years for Land of Frost in Searcy, before retiring. He loved taking trips with his family when the kids were young. He was an avid historian, loved to find and research data about the Civil War and its impact on White County. He loved metal detecting and found numerous relics of the Civil War. He was a master craftsman and made many era correct pistols and rifles from the war.

David was a Christian and found peace in the knowledge that Jesus was his savior and Heaven would be his reward.

Services entrusted to Roller-Daniel in Searcy, Arkansas.

Uncle David was a truly special manā€"always kind, genuinely welcoming, and deeply devoted to his family. His warmth and steady presence made every gathering brighter, and his love for those around him was evident in all he did. I have the fondest memories of learning about our family history, catching fireflies in his backyard and playing Uno around the family table.
He loved his wife, Sue, and his boys. His door was always open for family.
I pray that the memories of his gentle spirit and generous heart bring comfort in the days ahead. He will be deeply missed and always remembered with love.

David and I went to school and church together for many years. We hunted together some. He showed me many of the muzzle loader rifles he made. He made and gave me a power horn for my rifles.

Uncle David, you are missed. I love you! One of my fondest memories is when you helped me with our family tree many (many) years ago. We had some interesting people in our family history.
