Winfred H. Harmon, 90, of Batesville passed away Friday, July 18, 2025.
He was born July 20, 1934 in Batesville, Arkansas to Earl W. Harmon and Emmalee Flynn Harmon.
Winfred was a member of Sydney Church of Christ. He was a veteran of the United States Army. He was a member of the Masons and the Odd Fellows. In his younger days he enjoyed hunting. He owned and operated his Butcher Shop for 50 years and loved working. He enjoyed fishing, picking pecans, telling stories, and throwing his voice.
Survivors include his son, Terry Wayne Harmon (Kristie) of Pleasant Plains; two daughters, Donna Greenfield (Danny) of Cushman and Gail Harmon (Eldon) of Southside; six grandchildren, Nelson Greenfield (Brianna), Daniel Greenfield (Brandy), Garrick Harris (Brittney), Lynnsey Thatch (Jeffery), Huston Harmon, and Kinliann Harmon; five great-grandchildren, Tucker Thatch, River Thatch, Shiloh Greenfield, Memphis Greenfield, and Kinsley Greenfield.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Merle Dunegan Harmon; brothers, Max Dale Harmon and E.B. Harmon; sister, Earlene Burris; daughter-in-law, Terri Ann Harmon; nieces, Brenda Debow, Theresa Ann Branscum, and Becky Moore; and nephew, Timmy Dale Harmon.
Pallbearers are Terry Harmon, Huston Harmon, Nelson Greenfield, Garrick Harris, Jeffery Thatch, and Daniel Greenfield. Honorary pallbearers will be Danny Greenfield, David Guynes, Eldon Skinner, and Glenvall Harris.
Funeral services will begin at 2:00pm Tuesday, July 22, 2025 at North Heights Church of Christ with Austin Dowell and Jeremy Cox officiating. Burial will follow at Campground Cemetery under the direction of Roller-Crouch Funeral Home.
Visitation will be held from 12:00-2:00pm Tuesday, July 22, 2025 prior to service at the church.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made in his honor to the Church of Christ Children's Home.
