Mary Eleanor Gaddy Bratcher

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Mary Eleanor ''Ellie'' Gaddy Bratcher, 91, on July 16, 2025 in Conway, Arkansas. Mary Eleanor was born on March 3, 1934 in Green Hill, Arkansas to William Carmi Gaddy, Sr and Athalea Jenny Cloud.

Throughout her life, Ellie was known for her devotion to family, love for the Lord and the delicious meals around the table she shared with countless neighborhood kids and adults alike. She never missed a chance to cheer on her grandkids at sporting events. Ellie was an incredibly present and loving ''Mamaw'' to her grandkids and extended family and friends. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Ellie is survived by her son, Rex Davis and wife, Jenny of Vilonia; daughter, Gena Bunker and husband, Russ of Conway; grandchildren, Daniel (Ginger) Roberts, Charlie Roberts, Jason (Ashley) Heath, Heather (Brent) Hendrickson, Chris (Charlene) Morrow, Chelsey Hess, Ridge (Mariah) Davis, Chloe (Hayden) Hathcote and Alyson (Hunter) Swoboda, Chelsi (Coby) Applewhite, Brianna (Justin) Southerland, Cody Pelham and Chase Bunker and great-grandchildren, Brooke, Jackson, Cash, Tess, James Bodie, Shepherd, Hope, Cameron, Taylor, Sawyer, Hart, Cooper, Sunnie, Stetson, Madilyn, Preslynn, Jaxton, Ayden, Kinsley, Addie, Evan and Mckinnah.

Mrs. Bratcher is also survived by her incredible caregiver, Normesha ''Mesha'' Bell. Mesha has been our angel on earth. The family would also like to extend our appreciation to the staff at Superior Health and Rehab and those that have been dedicated to her care.

Ellie was predeceased by her parents; her husband, Carrel Eugene Bratcher; brothers, William ''Bill'' Gaddy and Eugene ''Wilbur'' Gaddy; sister, Marjorie ''Marge'' (Gaddy) Gough; sons, Michael Bratcher and Rusty Bratcher; daughters, Deborah Heath and Sandra K. Roberts and grandson, Dylan Murphy and great-granddaughter, Rosie Mae Applewhite.

A service to honor Ellie's life will be held on Saturday, July 19, 2025 at 10:00am at Roller-McNutt in Conway with a visitation preceding at 9:00am. A small graveside service will be held following the service at Crestlawn Memorial Park in Conway, Arkansas.

To all of her family and friends, James and I loved her as if she was ours too. We've never had a finer set of neighbors. Her and Sonny were the best. Prayers for comfort and peace.

To my lovely cousins and their families, my best wishes and thoughts of healing as you honor Ellie and her bright light she shared with family and friends. A sweet and caring spirit full of laughter and concern for others that she shared with us throughout her life, a spirit that will surely be missed not never forgotten. Much love, Gayle.
