James Lee Tackett, 93, of Conway went to be with the Lord on July 14, 2025. He was born November 9, 1932 in Quitman, Arkansas to the late James ''Jim'' Tackett and Chloe Hardy Tackett. James served in the United States Army from 1950-1953 and worked as a truck driver for various companies over the years, retiring from Roadway Express to raise cattle with his son. He was a longtime member of Pleasant Valley Baptist Church in Greenbrier. He enjoyed camping, water skiing, going to the farm, church potlucks and spending time with family. James was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Liller ''Lil'' Tucker Tackett; son, Mike (Sharon) Tackett; two grandsons, Dustin (Jessica) Tackett and Cody (Ali) Tackett and four great-grandchildren, Lydia Tackett, Ellis Tackett, Townes Tackett and Tripp Tackett.
Funeral services will be Friday, July 18th at 11:00AM at Pleasant Valley Baptist Church in Greenbrier. Visitation will begin one hour prior at the church at 10:00AM. The burial will follow services at Old Texas Cemetery in Guy, Arkansas.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Pleasant Valley Baptist Church, Greenbrier, AR.
