of Aubrey, AR
December 6, 1930 - July 13, 2025
Carrie Boyer Eddleman, 94, of Aubrey, AR left her earthly home on July 13, 2025 Born December 6, 1930 to Henry and Ruby Boyer. One of 8 children (6 girls and 2 boys), grew up on the gin lot in the middle of Aubrey, AR. This is where she met her future husband, Dallas (Dub) Eddleman. They were married June 6, 1950 for 66 years and had 3 children: Jeannie (Jim) Hall of Marion, AR; Lewis (Mary) Eddleman of Carlisle, AR; and Joe Eddleman of Aubrey, AR. She is survived by her three children, five grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild as well as two of her siblings, Ann Stiles and Henry Boyer, Jr.
Growing up she chopped and picked cotton on local farms and worked in several retail stores before working at Jack Winter manufacturing. She then was employed for many years and retired from the Arkansas Employment Security Division in Helena and Forrest City. After retirement, she worked on the farm helping Dub with cows, chickens, guineas, goats and other farm animals. She was a true homemaker with the ability to put together a full meal in less than 30 minutes and her cooking as well as her pear preserves will be greatly missed. After Dub passed away in 2017, Carrie continued to raise chickens and a guinea. She was a devoted ''Gram'' to her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Carrie was a very strong woman who let very little slow her down.
She attended Aubrey Missionary Baptist Church. She enjoyed Friday night dinner gatherings at the Aubrey Store with her neighbors and friends. Services are entrusted to Roller- Citizens Funeral Home in Marianna, Arkansas and there will be a graveside service at Mariana Memorial Park on Saturday, July 19, 2025, at 11:00 A.M. Visitation will be held one hour prior to services at Marianna Memorial Park in Marianna, Arkansas.
