Cynthia Jane Johnson, 67, a resident of Scranton passed away Sunday, July 13, 2025 in Clarksville. She was born March 26, 1958 to the late Danny and Carolyn (Higgins) Phelps. She was employed at River Valley Tyson for 32 years, loved her shop crew and had recently retired in March of this year.
She was a member of Rita's Sewing Chickadees and president of Crisis Community. Cynthia also had many hobbies that included golfing, camping, being outdoors, flower gardening and being at the beach. Her family says that she loved any time that was spent with her family and grandchildren and that is the kind of love that they will cherish forever.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Thomas.
Those who are left to cherish the memories of Cynthia are her husband, Bill Johnson; one son, Joe and wife, Kari Hall; one daughter, Nerissa Hall; two sisters, Kattie McPhail and Donna Hedrick; two brothers, Danial Phelps and Paul McGlaun; seven grandchildren, Lana and husband BJ, Karli, Mason, Blake, Hallee, Haven and Brodric; three great grandchildren, Easton, Gracelyn and Remi; along with many more family and friends.
Visitation for Cynthis will be 6-8:00 P.M. Tuesday, July 15, 2025. Her funeral service will be 10:00 A.M. Wednesday, July 16, 2025 at Roller-Cox Funeral Home Chapel in Clarksville. Interment will follow the service at Coal Hill Cemetery in Coal Hill with Pastor James Rocter officiating.
Serving as pallbearers are BJ Barrientos, Jared, Blake, Mason, Brodric and Ellis. Honorary pallbearers are Doug Weymouth, Aaron West, Levi Sims, Jimmy F., Justin Owens, Josh Hudspeth, Tony Bauer, Charles Philman, Jack Flaharty, Dennis Smith, Shelly Turner, Larry English and the Team at RVI Scranton.
