of Conway, AR
January 27, 1945 - July 11, 2025
It is with deep love and gratitude that we announce the passing of Linda Sue Linn, 80, who left this world peacefully on July 11, 2025 surrounded by her devoted family.
Born on January 27, 1945 in Conway, Arkansas, Linda was the cherished daughter of the late Willard and Reba Stark. She was raised in Bee Branch, Arkansas in a home rooted in faith, hard work and community values, alongside her late brother, Harold D. Stark and her sister, Jeanne Dale.
She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Danny Linn; daughters, Susan McCoy (Ric) and Christy Priester (Eric) both of Conway; five grandchildren who adored her, Raegan McGhee (Bryce), Andrew Priester (Reagan), Kavanagh McCoy (Jessie), Rileigh Offenbacker (Aaron) and Nic Priester; four great-grandchildren, Greyson McGhee, Parker McGhee, Tucker Priester and Taylor McCoy and sister, Jeanne Dale and a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews whom she loved dearly.
Linda attended Arkansas State Teachers College, now the University of Central Arkansas and after, found full-time work as a social worker with the Arkansas Department of Social Services in 1965, a job she would continue until 1972. In 1975, she expanded her career at CAPCA (Community Action Program for Central Arkansas) and soon became Director of the Head Start Program, serving from 1976 to 1984. She later retired from social work to become an active partner in the family business, where her leadership and vision helped shape its long-term success.
Over the past 40 years, Linda was a pillar in the Faulkner County community. She was involved in numerous organizations - the Conway Area Chamber of Commerce, the Conway Noon Rotary Club, the Boys and Girls Club, the Community Foundation of Faulkner County, the Faulkner County Senior Citizens Center, United Way Central Arkansas, Renewal Ranch, Soaring Wings, Bethlehem House, a Bookcase for Every Child and many others. She and Danny were also longtime, faithful members of Conway's First Baptist Church and their Sunday School Class, Life Group 10.
A trailblazer for women in business, Linda co-founded First Community Bank, which later became part of First Security Bank, where she faithfully served on the advisory board for over 30 years.
Some, but not all of her achievements throughout the years include a Paul Harris Fellowship Award in 1993, Sam Walton Business Leader Award in 1996, Arkansas Business Top 100 Women 1997-98 and Good Neighbor Award of the Conway Area Chamber of Commerce in 1999 and the Chamber's Distinguished Service Award in 2002, the first Diamond Achievement Award by the Conway Area Chamber of Commerce in 2012 and lastly the Jerry B Adams Excellence in Philanthropy Award in 2023.
Linda was a devoted wife to Danny, her partner in life for 60 wonderful years. While she wore many hats throughout her lifetime-community leader, businesswoman and volunteer-her greatest and most treasured roles were those of Mother and Nana.
As a mother, she poured her heart into raising her daughters with love, strength and unwavering support. She led by example, teaching them the values of faith, hard work, kindness and resilience.
Becoming "Nana" was one of Linda's greatest joys. She played an active and irreplaceable role in her grandchildren's lives-cheering from the stands, celebrating every milestone and offering a listening ear and wisdom whenever it was needed. She was their biggest fan, their trusted confidant and a constant source of love and encouragement.
Linda brought light and love wherever she went. Her generosity, strength and commitment to others made her a beloved figure in the community-and an irreplaceable treasure to her family and countless friends. While her absence will be deeply felt, we rejoice knowing that she is now walking the streets of Heaven, watching over all of us.
The family requests that any charitable contributions be made in her honor to the Faulkner County Senior Citizen Center, an organization close to her heart.

Dear Danny and Family
Words can't express what Linda meant to me. She was by my side for several years helping to raise money and awareness for our Senior Center. She was my encourager, supporter, confidant and the best friend anyone could have. She will be greatly missed by our community that she had such a big part in shaping what we are today. I love you forever Linda Linn❤️❤️
Danny & Family,
So sorry to hear of Linda's passing. What a wonderful treasure it was to have been her friend. Even in a County the size of ours, there can only be a handful of people whose lives were not touched in some way by this precious lady. She will be missed in countless ways by everyone who knew her. Her crown will be heavy but now she carries no burden. We count it a privilege to have known her. Danny, you have a precious family and you will all be in our prayers in the days ahead.

Danny, Susie, Ric, Christy, Jeanie and the family,
Linda was such a big part of my life. Always giving good advice about life, marriage, kids or grandkids. Getting to see her twice a week for 36 years was such a blessing to me. I always valued not only her opinion but her friendship. She will be missed by so many in this community and around the states.
She made everyone feel as if they were family.
Love you all! All of you are in my prayers today and in the days ahead as you navigate a different life.

Linda and I grew up together from her birth. I am a year older and she always said I was''bossy''. We played together as children, hung out as teenagers and kept up with each other and our families as adults. We were cousins, but also friends. In recent years we texted, talked on the phone and facebooked more than face to face visits, but we found a way to keep in touch.
George and my family is getting smaller and this will certainly make a deep hole in it. We loved Linda and Danny and also their girls.
Our biggest comfort is to know that she is no longer in pain and is kicking her heels high on those streets of gold. Heaven has welcomed a precious soul.

So many precious memories of our experiences together. We love y'all! Don and Raye Jean
She was truly a "straight-up" person all the way. I served as a mental health consultant with Head Start. She was an organizer, fully committed and goal "accomplisher." With all that, she was still a fun loving person, a pleasure to be around. There aren't many around of the quality of the two - Linda and Danny. My sincere regards.
Dear Danny and family,
Heaven got another angel. I'm sure Linda is up there sharing hugs and organizing everything. It was an honor to serve with her on boards and committees. May you have peace in knowing you will see her again.
Mrs.Linda was such a gracious lady. She had such a generous, giving heart and was beautiful inside and out. We're so sorry for your loss. Love and prayers that the Lord will hold you close and bring you comfort during such a sad time.
