In Loving Memory of Chris Edward Pyron
Chris Edward Pyron, age 62, passed away unexpectedly Sunday, June 29, 2025. His life was full of change, growth, and impact- marked by many chapters, each one meaningful in its own way.
Chris was born on December 31, 1962 in El Dorado, Arkansas the son of Henry Miller and Geneva (Holloway) Pyron. Growing up, Chris lived in El Dorado, West Memphis, Tulsa and Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, and Rockmart, Georgia where Chris was a member of the 1981 graduating class of Rockmart High School.
In 2015 Chris married Anne Clifton Pyron, the love of his life with whom he shared over 10 happy years. They were looking forward to making more memories in their new home in Benton, Arkansas. Tragically, Chris passed away during the process of moving to their new home.
Chris lived in several different states and pursued a variety of paths throughout his life, both personally and professionally. He received further education at Southern Tech in Georgia and spent much of his career as an entrepreneur, business owner, patent holder and consultant in the pulp and paper industry, managing engineering projects across the country. In addition to his career in the engineering field, he pursued studies through New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary and was ordained as a Southern Baptist minister. Chris served in a variety of ministry roles both in local churches and international mission work, and led many people to faith.
Throughout the many chapters of his life, Christ built deep and lasting connections with people from across the country who will remember him with great fondness. He was conscientious and intelligent, pensive yet jovial, and held space for the tender moments in life. He was particular in his ways - never without a mint or a sleeve of Certs, and always in pursuit of the coldest glass of milk imaginable. At restaurants, he'd charm servers by requesting ''a tall glass of really cold milk - and if you want a really good tip, you'll put the glass in the freezer first.'' His playful wit and attention to detail brought gratitude and joy to those around him. He will be dearly missed.
Chris is survived by his wife Anne Clifton Pyron of Benton, Arkansas; his daughter Ashley Partridge Batt-Rawden (Andy) and their children Olivia, Colton, and Theodore; his son Christopher Blake ''Brynner'' Pyron (Scarlett) and their son Aurelius; and his son Wesley Tanner Pyron (Kayla). He is also survived by his brothers: Andrew Pyron (Jeanie), Richard Pyron (Lori), Donald Pyron (Dana), half-sister Kay Atchison, his first wife (and high school sweetheart) Tracie Edwards Talley, the mother of his three children; plus a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
A visitation will be 1:00 to 1:30 pm, Saturday August 2, 2025, with a memorial service to be held at 1:30 PM, at Roller-Alcoa Funeral Home in Benton, Arkansas, with Pastor Rick Pyron officiating.
