Lois Jean Jones

of Harrison, AR

February 5, 1935 - July 10, 2025

Lois Jean Jones, age 90, of Harrison, passed away at North Arkansas Regional Medical Center with her husband by her side. She was born in Joiner, Arkansas, to Thomas Marshall and Fannie Mae Easiley Smithey. A member of Northvale Baptist Church in Harrison, Lois and Jimmy moved to Harrison in July 2008 from Osceola. She married Jimmy Lee Jones on April 18, 1969, celebrating 56 years together. Lois loved to sing in the church choir and help with various activities, including Vacation Bible School. She worked as a waitress in Osceola, serving the Rotary and Lions Clubs, as well as the Osceola Schools cafeteria. She is survived by her beloved husband, Jimmy, of the home; two daughters, Carolyn Maples and Cathy Lee, both of the Memphis area; her son, Terry (Robin) Powell of Osceola; her brothers, D.W. Smithey of Harrison and Billy Dean Smithey of Jackson, Mississippi; and her sister, Mearl Stegall of Harrisburg, Arkansas. She was preceded in death by her parents.

Lois was one of a kind! I will miss her dearly! She loved to talk about her family and especially Jimmy, she loved them all fiercely! She loved jewelry and loved to sing. I have no doubt she will be singing for eternity. My prayers to her friends and family. Love, Sidney ❤️
