Kenneth Gene Layne, 65, of Jonesboro, AR passed away Sunday, July 6, 2025 at St. Bernards Hospital. He was born September 4, 1959 in Jonesboro to Bobby Gene and Glenda (French) Layne. He worked as a rice grain inspector for the Government. He was a member of Highland Drive Baptist Church and loved to play music and watching the St. Louis Cardinals.
Kenneth was preceded in death by his father; a sister, Kerri Layne and an infant baby brother.
Survivors include his mother, Glenda Layne: stepson, Zac Hadi; two stepdaughters, Melanie (Matt) Andrews and Sarah Hinkson; six step-grandchildren; seven great-step-grandchildren; three aunts and many cousins.
Chapel services will be 10:30 am Wednesday, July 9, 2025 at Roller-Farmers Union Funeral Home, 1900 West Washington Avenue in Jonesboro with Johnny Hutchison officiating. Burial will follow at Pierce Cemetery.
Visitation will precede the service from 9:30 am to 10:30 am.
Matt Andrews, Zach Stevens, Jackie James, Jarred Rasdon, Randy Stevens and Charles Layne will serve as pallbearers.
