Debra Diane Taylor, 71, of Enola, Arkansas passed away peacefully on July 2, 2025. She was born on June 10, 1954 in Benedict, Kansas to L. Dean and Elizabeth Darbe.
Debra was united in marriage to Windell Taylor on May 24, 1979 and together they built a loving home and family.
She began her career at IBM as a service representative before becoming a high school math teacher at Southside Bee Branch High School, where she worked until her retirement. Debra loved her role as a teacher. She lit up when sharing stories about field trips with her students or lessons that sparked curiosity and excitement in the classroom.
Debra loved to travel and explore new places, often taking trips with her grandchildren, creating treasured memories that brought her immense joy. Her grandchildren were truly the pride of her life.
She is survived by her loving husband, Windell, of the home; her children, Brian (Julie) Taylor of Vilonia, AR, Angie Taylor (Larry) of Greenville, NC, James Taylor of Santa Barbara, CA, Misty Taylor of Vilonia, AR and Jason Taylor of Enola, AR. She also leaves behind her mother, Elizabeth Darbe of Little Rock, AR; her siblings, Alan (Jeanette) Darbe of Michigan, Kirk (Melody) Darbe of Maumelle, AR, Valerie Darbe of Little Rock, AR and Kevin (Laurie) Darbe of Texas; thirteen grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Debra was preceded in death by her father, L. Dean Darbe and her grandson, Cody Taylor.
The family extends heartfelt thanks to the Hospice Foundation of Arkansas for their exceptional care and support. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Hospice Foundation of Arkansas.
Visitation will be at 9am Saturday, July 5th at Union Valley Baptist Church in Beebe with the funeral service following at 10am. Burial will follow at Grissard Cemetery in El Paso.
Pallbearers are Joseph Darbe, David Waters, Jimmy Hyatt Jr., Mitch Fry, Larry Edwards and Don Kinney.
Honorary Pallbearers are Jimmy Hyatt Sr. and Gerald Taylor.

Windell Carrol, I am very saddened to hear about your loss. She was very sweet to my mother and me when we visited Uncle Lavern. Hopefully, Dewie and I can visit you soon.
I worked with Mrs. Taylor for many years at South Side. Her love for her students, Wendell, children and grandchildren was very evident! She was an amazing teacher and a precious soul! I have many memories of visiting with her and thankful for my time with her. My prayers are with you.

Mrs. Taylor was an amazing teacher. She single-handedly got my son through high school math by meeting him at school early every day and tutoring him for free. She was so sweet and will always hold a special place in my heart.

Mrs. Taylor was my high school math teacher from grades 7-12th. She was truly such an amazing teacher and outstanding person!! She was definitely one of my 'once in a lifetime teachers' and inspired me to become a high school teacher! I am so incredibly thankful for her guidance and unwavering support throughout high school!! My prayers are with the family and friends!
